The club AGM will be held on 13th May via Zoom.
This year, under the difficult circumstances that we have found ourselves in, we have had a drop in membership, but still have over 40 members and are financially sound for next year. As in previous years the whole committee stands down and all positions are open to members to stand for. We have already lost our Secretary due to job relocation and will be losing Dave Phillips to the world of chess. Each position only requires 4-5 hours of your time per month. The Committee meets every six weeks, currently via Zoom and may continue to do so. The positions that need filling are:
Chairman
Secretary
Treasurer
Programme Secretary
Internal Competition Secretary
External Competition Secretary
Practicals Co-ordinator
At this stage we request that you all consider standing for any of the above positions. If you want to discuss what any one of the above positions entails, then we will hold private Zoom meetings with you to discuss it. Existing committee members are eligible to re-stand.
