SPECIAL GUEST William Cheung "My Passion for Photography"

This week we have a lecture from special guest William Cheung, Editor of Advanced Photography.

This is a joint special event with Bedford Camera Club and the Open University Camera Club.

We are meeting at Berrill Lecture Theatre, at the Open University, starting at 19:30.

Address:
The Open University

Berrill Lecture Theatre
The Berrill Building
Walton Hall
Milton Keynes
MK7 6AA

Just a quick note about parking, if you drive into the OU campus through the main entrance, past the security hut and take a right, the Berrill building is the large white building with the OU logo sign on top. Enter the building over the drawbridge into the main reception and someone will direct you to the cafe and the lecture.

Will Cheung FRPS has been an enthusiastic photographer for many years and is especially well known for his black & white images. Professionally, he has worked on photographic magazines for over 30 years, first joining Practical Photography and now editing Advanced Photography and Photography News.

He shoots a wide variety of subject matter and is proud to specialise at being a non-specialist. Indeed, this talk "My Passion for Photography" covers everything from natural history to landscape, street and portrait and much more in-between. His approach to photography is an amateur who just loves using his camera and is happy to reveal his imaging techniques. His honest, open and passionate approach to his subject means his talks are always well received.

Entry is included for New City PS, BCC & OUCC. Non-members and other Camera Clubs are very welcome, with an entry fee of only £7.50 payable on the door.

Can't wait to see you all there!

Iain

What's on this week!

Hello everyone, in the calendar this week we have a practical session planned. We thought we'd do something a little different and get out and about.

We're going on a night time walk through Woburn village. Meet at 19:30 in the car park located on the map. We can then go off and explore what Woburn looks like at night!

It'll no doubt be chilly, so wrap up warm! No doubt we can all agree on a cosy pub to warm up afterwards.

ALTERNATIVELY, Round 3 or the Rosebowl is also this Thursday Wycombe Photographic Society. They meet at 7.45 for an 8pm start at Micklefield Community Centre, Centre Approach, Micklefield Road, High Wycombe, HP13 7FY.

There is a map at: http://www.wycombephotographicsociety.org.uk/findus.html

Simon Raynor is planning on attending, so if you want to go it would be worth sending him an email

Thanks!
