Happy new year!

Our first meeting of the year is tomorrow night (Thursday 2nd Jan). Instead of meeting at the hall, we thought it would be fun to meet up in Central Milton Keynes to shoot some of the Christmas lights, indulge in some street photography and perhaps do some long exposures of traffic to get traffic trails.

We'll be meeting outside Bella Pasta in 12th Street (the old "theatre district") at 7:15pm

See you all then
Jamie

Set Subject PDI Trophy results now available

It was touch and go there for a minute! With only minutes to go, we had the bad news that our judge couldn’t make it (through no fault of his own!)

We made a few hurried telephone calls to replace him at short notice to no avail

We canvassed the crowd for a volunteer to judge our competition and had no takers, until Mr “Save the Day” Cromack turned up and totally did the job (personally found his comments great and his scores very fair and reflective of the subject matter, well done Dave)

Anyway, follow the link to the the results and a gallery of the images from the night.

Cromack to the rescue

“A big thank you to Dave Cromack for standing in as judge for last night’s competition! It really was very much appreciated.

For those who don’t know the whole story; our original judge emailed us last week to tell us she couldn’t make it due to work commitments and so Jamie pretty much phoned or emailed just about every judge in the book to try to find a replacement and finally, late on Wednesday evening he received a positive a judge who could help us out. Great!

Then at 6:30 on the evening I get a phone call from the judge to tell me that he’s trapped in St Albans as his wife has gone to the O2 but left her car in front of his on the drive and taken the keys with her!

So began the hunt again! A few quick phone calls were made but were ultimately unsuccessful.

So thanks Dave for standing in at the last minute, it was really much appreciated and you did a sterling job for a first time judging! (and that’s not just cos I won!)”
